About the Project
Fiber optics cabling transmits data by sending light pulses through thin, flexible strands of glass or plastic. Unlike traditional copper cables, fiber optic cables are able to transmit data over longer distances and at higher speeds with minimal interference. Fusion splicing fiber is the process of joining two fiber optic cables together by melting the ends of the cables and fusing them together. This creates a permanent and seamless connection that allows for the transmission of light signals without any loss in signal strength or quality. Fusion splicing is the preferred method for creating a fiber optic network because it offers a more reliable and efficient connection than traditional mechanical splices.
